I have had requests for training and my bio.
I think most of these people are not serious and just looking for info to post to forums and such.
Here is my bio:
1. I have never shot anyone
2. Not a member of the police or military
3. Never been CONVICTED of a crime
4. My dad taught me what he could and I hunted squirrels, rabbits, deer and dove.
5. I have taken a few gun courses but nothing more than a few day courses. I won't mention instructors so they won't be humiliated.
6. My gun work is based on martial arts techniques and not your silly target oriented shooting at things that don't shoot back or make contact with you to try and stop you from shooting them.
7. I won't mention the martial art I do here but I have taken a few.

Objections to my Gun Fu
1. You are going to shoot yourself.
-- I haven't yet. Some of the idiots who think like you have and you don't even go crazy with it like I do.(I think you are secretly afraid of the gun)
2. You are a retard
-- this is just proving you are a bad person.
3. You are violating the rules of gun safety.
-- Yeah, like some of those apply in close quarter combat.. like storing ammo and guns separately "until you need them". gosh if I knew that I'd make alot of money in the stock market.
4. No one has ever taught me that
-- number 1 because most gun classes are remedial and basic
-- number 2 because of liability issues, they are afraid you will shoot yourself and sue their butts off
-- number 3 Well, well. Some of create and explore and experiment to move the human race into the future.. and some of us just sit back and get spoon fed techniques that the "smarter people" teach and approve. We now which one you are. So if I taught it to you would it be ok then? If a gun mag published it would it then be the gospel?
When shooting and moving appeared(or reappeared) on the gun scene, people were very against it. Oh, no that isn't safe! you can't have people moving and shooting like that they will fall and kill themselves. Well, we do it now.

The gun safety rules of close quarter combat
1. If your gun isn't loaded, then it isn't worth a damn. Keep it loaded all the time.
2. If you have time to really make sure that you ain't going to hit something behind the bad guy that you don't want to destroy, then maybe your life isn't really in enough immediate danger to be shooting at someone.
3. Keep your finger on the trigger as soon as it clears your body. If you don't need to have your finger on the trigger, your life isn't in that much danger.
4. You shouldn't pull out a gun unless you are going to shoot it. If you aren't sure, don't pull it out.

21 Foot Rule
Most of the gun guys say "I'd empty my MAGAZINE (gotta spell it right) into you before you stepped 2 steps you little wimp. I carry an extra small tool big gun with the killer bullets. You wouldn't sneak up on me. I'd see ya."
Yeah, and I'm the moron.
The whole idea of the 21 foot rule is that you are surprised. And yes in real life it ain't like when you are at your favorite Square Gun range with your fancy pistol in your hand.
In real life many times you are surprised and you might actually not perform so well under the real pressure and surprise of someone running at you with a sword in his hand.
Anyway, just stay in your macho world where your big pistol you don't actually carry around makes you a superhero.
